Geovalent is a Barcelona-based e-commerce company, owned and operated by a small team of professionals with extensive experience in e-commerce and international trade.

Josh Merrow, Co-founder
Josh is responsible for operations and technology. Prior to Geovalent, Josh founded Bordersail, SL, the company that runs the American Exports Network, achieving sales growth of over 1400% in the first 12 months. He has also been CTO at Uvault, Inc., a US-based streaming video provider, and chief programmer at Centerseat, LLC, where he designed an online video/ecommerce platform. Josh graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He speaks three languages and lives in Barcelona with his wife and two children.
Guy Spriggs, Co-founder
Guy is responsible for finance and business development. Prior to Geovalent, Guy was owner and CEO of Schoolbank.nl, a Dutch website for old school friends where one-third of the entire Dutch adult population are members. He has also been CEO of a successful Dutch software development company and before that he managed Loot, a free classifieds service. Guy is a graduate of the University of London and ESADE business school, speaks five languages and lives with his wife, Co, their two children and a dog in Barcelona.
Evert de Penning, Import/Export Manager
Evert has been trading on five continents since 1990. He has handled import and export of all major goods categories, including foodstuffs, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and consumer products. He has handled transport and logistics for maritime, truck, train and air shipments of every scale: combined transport, bulk, containers, and shipload. He knows the ins and outs of many European ports and more kinds of paperwork than one likes to imagine. He is with us to help customers new to foreign trade with issues like tariff codes, import taxes, brand registration, etc. Evert speaks six languages and lives with his wife and daughter in Granada, Spain.
